We are looking for the next Managing Director, who will have full P&L
responsibility, significant operational freedom and overall responsibility
for the performance of the business. Evolve business strategy to
accelerate growth, by at least doubling revenue and profit within five
years.

THE MISSION

• Develop and/or refine and adapt the strategic plan to deliver
accelerated and sustainable year over year profit growth
• Create intimate customer relationships that support stronger value
propositions by solving their high stakes problems
• Drive organic growth that will double profit every five years.
Determine digitization opportunities to incorporate into the business
strategy, thinking about new business and revenue models
• Deliver on short-term commitments regarding budgets and financials
while ensuring the organization is set-up for long-term success
• Continue to drive development of ‘breakthroughs’ in applications,
channels and geographies
• Leveraging the sales and marketing strategy, ensure the
implementation of the strategy, inclusive of geography
• Establish and/or increase market share in core market segments
globally.
• Lead the market in which you operate

• Accelerate the strategy of the business toward application and market
focused opportunities and geographic expansion
• Execute on M&A to accelerate growth
• Experience building, maintaining and optimizing existing strong OEM
and distributor channels
• Comfortable operating globally, specifically in Asia, India, US and
Europe
• Build and implement a talent strategy aligned to the business strategy
and ensure successful execution
• Recruit, develop and retain top talent. Establish an effective group of
managers.
• Develop the team and their capabilities to scale them to enable the
doubling of the company every five years
• Build/Maintain a culture and environment that is transparent,
collaborate, proactive, innovative and focused on continuous
improvement
• Nurture a sense of collaboration across Halma sectors and companies

THE REQUIREMENTS

Previous P&L responsibility
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue and profit growth
• A broad understanding of business across all functions
• Good global business knowledge desirable
• Financial acumen
• Familiarity and appreciation of Lean principles and continuous
improvement
• Ability to build and develop a great team
• Excellent leadership skills with an ability to inspire others
• Experience in leading cultural change
• Skilled in coaching and talent development
• Deals decisively with poor performance and improves strong
performance
• High standards of ethics and integrity
• Degree in Technical or Business field
