Global Director of SMB Advertising,  Spotify

We are looking for a growth-focused Global Director of SMB (Small and Medium Business) Advertising to join our global sales team. The Global Director of SMB Advertising will oversee our SMB ad sales, service and operations organization spanning markets around the world. This position is responsible for global strategy and revenue growth of our SMB advertiser base. Ideal candidates will have experience building and managing SMB ad sales and service teams, deep knowledge of the operations and systems needed to fuel SMB growth, and a proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, product and other functions. This position is based in Spotify’s NYC office.

What You’ll Do:

• Own global SMB revenue growth for the Spotify Advertising business unit

• Define the structure, strategy and operations to take our SMB ads business into its next stage of growth

• Expand and coach a global team of SMB ad sales, account services and operations specialists

● Oversee all sales[1]supported touchpoints & customer support vendors

• Collaborate with product and marketing to continue building Spotify Ad Studio functionality that will attract SMB advertisers to the platform and delivery value and results for them

• Partner with regional sales leads & SMB growth marketing to plan and execute on regional revenue growth strategies

• Be a spokesperson and advocate for SMB advertisers both internally and externally

 

Who You Are:

• BA or BS degree

• 10+ years of experience in SMB sales & service strategy

• Digital marketing/advertising domain expertise

• Subject matter expert in customer success, support systems and tools and scaled process implementation

• Experience running multinational teams and passion for developing talent across global markets

• Strong aptitude for working with analytics and data to drive business planning

• A track-record of working collaboratively in tight-knit cross-functional product development environments (focus on product management and marketing)

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Comfortable leading senior-level client relationships & business partnerships
