The DE&I Communications Manager will provide support for DE&I communications and initiatives enterprise-wide for Seminole Hard Rock Support Services; which also includes support for Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International. The DE&I Communications Manager is responsible for creating creative and engaging internal communications between the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and our team members. This internal communication will include all items related to the DE&I key business strategies, TMRG (Team Member Resource Groups) events and meetings, DE&I products and services, DE&I Councils, and other team member-related topics.


  • Serve as a liaison between the Office of DE&I and company entities to communicate all items related to changes in policies, new programs and initiative announcements, all DE&I education offerings, TMRG and DE&I Council updates and resources
  • Coordinate all internal communications and schedule for best results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to ensure communication is clear and concise
  • Create style guides, standards, and brand voice outlines and templates for all communications
  • Create a rigid communications schedule with flexibility for urgent/crisis communications and formal approval processes
  • Creatively market communication to all team members to maximize engagement
  • Gather and analyze feedback on communication programs to measure success and/or alter for further improvements
  • Develop materials and programs to facilitate better communications between entities, departments, and team members
    Reinforce brand standards, voice, culture and style of our organization
  • Incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion into all communications
  • Help manage internal flow of communications – help set the standard for company image and reputation
  • Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success
  • Define key performance indicators for each communications channel which will indicate a campaign’s level of success
  • Help HR create internal communications, DE&I protocols, and initiatives that will foster employee morale
  • Help oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organization’s brand, including white papers, website copy, and more
  • Help ghostwrite and organize presentations for senior-level executives
  • Determine strategic communications campaigns that will help further organizational goals
  • Support DE&I social communication platforms which include maintaining content, identifying opportunities for engagement, and analyzing trends
  • Partner with DE&I leaders and CSR partners to identify opportunities for DE&I representation within annual reports

+3 years of experience in corporate communications, related fields or education
Multimedia design experience, e.g., print, digital, web, email, presentations, digital kiosks, podcasts, etc.
Knowledge of the hospitality industry a bonus (e.g., casino, hotel, restaurant, retail)
2-4 years’ experience with Event and Community Engagement Initiatives
2-4 years’ experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Solid understanding of public relations and corporate DE&I principles, best practices
Experience with senior leadership presentations
Experience with collaboration among various stakeholders internally and externally


Proven communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening
Mastery of written English, modern style guides and voice/tone, e.g., corporate, PR, marketing, casual
Ability to communicate with and between departments at all levels
Good data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Understanding of crisis management and strategic communication
Project management with a keen sense of urgency to meet hard publishing deadlines
A curiosity that drives continued self-learning and development
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business’ various types of content
Highly organized and capable of setting deadlines and priorities
Willing to work and travel between locations
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and managing often changing priorities
A desire to grow their knowledge base and proactively engage in self-education


Ability to move through the corporate office (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists
Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear
Ability to tolerate exposure to florescent light, cold, and loud/noisy environments
Ability to travel via automobile, train or airplane for long periods of time


Multi-lingual is a bonus; mastery of written English is required
Extensive experience with MS Office Suite, esp. Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign, preferred
Layout and design experience a plus
Experience with an international brand and cross-cultural communication
